As RAW’s Manager of Operations, I have strong beliefs about management’s role within a field operation. I believe that an Operations Manager is realistic about interlocking a client’s needs with a contract operator and I’m also realistic about facing the pressures of time, safety and heightened production. I believe an Operations Manager looks for ways to improve efficiency in various aspects of a job – in the equipment, in the personnel, and in the process. An Operations Manager focuses on quality expectations, quality workmanship, and quality results. An Operations Manager is effective at supply chain management, always with a searching eye for better tools to make a job more successful and revenue-producing. “I believe that management is efficiency in climbing the ladder of success, but leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall. Leadership is inspiring people to do things they never thought they could do!
